Which do you like: cream, matte, powder, sheer, or shimmer eye shadows?

I was quite confused with this... If in terms of formulation type I prefer the pressed eye shadows which would come in palettes unlike powder eyeshadows which come in separate containers and are too much of a hassle to bring... When it comes to finish I prefer matte rather than shimmery eyeshadows because I could create more depths and shadows when using matte. I think shimmery eyeshadows only work best for night looks, whereas  matte eyeshadows are more versatile...

Do you have saved text messages? If so, who are they from and why do you still have them?

When I was younger I used to save text messages most especially quotes, jokes etc... But now most saved messages are reminders to me sent by me... hehe

Favorite eye shadow palette and blush palette?

I don't have a favorite eye shadow palette as of the moment, but I frequently use my Elf beauty book... As for blush I only own one, which is the Maybelline Fit Me! :) Oh I think I have another one which I don't frequently use, it is a cream blush which is part of my Lancome travel kit...

Favorite toner?

My favorite toner would have to be the Celeteque Dermoscience Hydration toner. It doesn't have an irritating smell. I could really see that it removes those other dirt that washing can not remove and it is moisturizing not drying. It also contains witch hazel extract to soothe the skin while cleaning. And best of all it is alcohol free! it retails for about Php 82 for the 65 ml bottle, affordable right? :)

Hmm... I think I have lots of inside jokes with most of my friends... :p I don't think I can share them with you here as it would be too lenghty and you wouldn't prolly get it... haha :p

I usually buy my makeup from Watson's or SM department stores. For other makeup essentials and other US brands which are unavailable here in the country I usually pre-order them from my favorite online shops.

If you died tomorrow, what’s one thing you’d regret not doing?

I would not regret taking time off from med school to work as a nurse in a government hospital. Because of my working experience I believe it would make me a better medical practitioner in the future. And if I died tomorrow, at least I had the opportunity to serve my less fortunate countrymen to the best of my abilities and I had made their lives a little bit easier to bear when they were sick and weary.

Favorite eyeshadow primer?

My favorite for now would have to be Urban decay eyeshadow primer, I have used in the Glaminar makeup workshops which I have attend, I still have to buy my own tube in the near future... :P But for now I have to be content with the one from ELF which is more affordable and easily available.

Favorite concealer?

My favorite concealer would have to be Oleary covermark. I think it was pulled out of SM/Watsons a few years back but I think it is still available at Rustan's (I am not so sure though). It is available in Singapore and Japan.

What is your goal in life?

My goal in life would be to become a sugeon, a business woman and a makeup artist. Is that even possible?!? Well... I guess we will see in the near future huh? :)

My favorite night time look would have to be the smokey eye... who doesn't? :) It looks sexy and sultry but mysterious too. :)

Favorite makeup artist?

My favorite "local" makeup artist would have to be Danny Capistrano. He did my makeup for almost all important occasions like my debut and graduations and my parent's 25th wedding anniversary. He specializes in traditional and airbrush makeup. His salon now has about 8 branches all over the metro.

What do people notice about you?

People usually notice my height... haha I am a bit on the short side about 4'11'' or 5'0... haha Either that or they notice my cute little feet (my feet are a size 5, they are so teensy weensy and slim that's why most shoes look great on my feet) and sometimes they also notice my nails because of the nail art that I do... haha

Do you wear blush?

Yes I do wear blush.. occasionally... I sometimes don't wear blush as I have some sort of a natural blush specially when I am not wearing foundation. Wearing blush would make me look like a clown, so I opt to skip it when I am bare faced. But I do wear blush when I have medium to full coverage foundation on.

Where do you keep your makeup?

I keep my makeup in my mom's old jewelry case. It looks much like a train case and it has this numbered combination lock. But it could only fit just a few of my ever growing collection... hihi So I keep my other makeup stuff in a plastic container while others, the ones I usually use are kept in a pouch with a little mirror ( I got it as a freebie during the Glaminar Basic makeup workshop). :)

Favorite makeup brush?

My favorite makeup brush would have to be this pencil/crease brush from my 20 pc pro brush set by Beauty cosmetics. (I bought this from Fabshopaholic.)  I love this brush because I have hooded lids and this brush helps me get the definition I need when I create a cut crease effect. :)

Hopes, dreams and plans for the next 365 days

Well for the next 365 days I hope that I already graduate and I would be starting my post grad internship... :) I also dream that by then my blog would have a huge following and that I would already have made a niche in the blogging world... I plan to attend more makeup workshops during my freetime so that I will gain the skill set of a mua. :)

Do you like wearing foundation? If so, what’s your color and favorite?

I do not usually like to wear foundation but when I do (specially at times  when I have to take pictures), I prefer a sheer to medium coverage with a matte or satin finish. I have normal to combination skin depending on the weather with an olive/yellow undertone which is why I usually use the following foundations (whichever is available at the moment), Neutrogena Healthy Skin in Buff, NARS Sheer glow in Fiji, Revlon Colorstay in 180 Sand Biege, Maybelline Fit me in  Classic Ivory, L'Oreal True Match in W2, Lancome Tient miracle liquid in Buff 4C or Bisque 4W, Shu Uemura face architect in 554 and Max factor Pan stick in Nude Ivory 12.

30 Day Challenge- DAY 4

Something you are OCD about

In medical school we are often times teased by our Neuro Psych professors that most medical students are OCD. Which I find disturbingly true at times! :p You can not survive med school if you are not OC in studying... hehe I am not saying that med students like me have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder but   I do believe that we have at least one point have OC tendencies... :) I am not particularly OC with anything... I think... But I have a particular penchant for checking everything I do, for example, before I post or publish a blog post I usually check and recheck everything for 3 up to 5 times before publishing or I usually check and recheck my school bag 3 to 5 times before I go out of the house... So I guess that answers this question! :)

Make up Challenge- DAY 1

When did you start putting on makeup?

Hmmm... I can't actually remember the first time I put on make up, but I always remember that when I was a lot younger I was frequently joining the "Sagala" during Flores de Mayo or become a flower girl for wedddings and my mom would put make up on me. :) I would also be made to wear make up during graduation pictures (elementary and high school) or during prom. But the first time I put make up on my own was when I was already in 2nd year college, I remember that all of my college friends gave me make up as gifts during my debut (maybe I looked so "manang" back then... hmmm...) so I decided to try putting make up on...  I actually started with putting on purple cream eye shadow every single day! haha

I actually don't have a specific photo which makes me happy. Aside from looking at family photos, pictures with the bf, I guess looking at photos of my puppies always make me happy! Whenever i feel gloomy I just open my phone or ipod and browse thru my albums and look at all my pics! :)
